What I do love is you always find out that it was completely untrue and it really could have been in the game for months before being released. You can argue that the content wasn't cut, but you can't argue that in the absence of "Premium edition" that this content wouldn't have been in the base game. The erroneous assumption that all games with Season Passes for DLCs follow EA's policy of cutting content to release it later as a way to get more money is highly miss-informative, and only serves to hurt the companies behind the games. That is, all of the base game stuff is already done, and they're starting work on the DLCs. The digital deluxe content most likely was produced after the game entered the final beta phases before the release. Most, if not all, of the DLCs you'll see for Paradox Interactive's own games is content created after the initial release of the games.Īgain, while Paradox have been open with how that's how they do DLCs themselves, that does not automatically mean Triumph does the same, though from what I have heard and seen in the past, their policy is similar.
